The jury found that Thommen Medical AG fitted in best with this year’s theme of «Investment in the Future». The Grenchen-based enterprise has been most assiduous in investing in material research and the product development of its dental implants. It is thereby making an important contribution towards securing our future on behalf of the entire medical technology sector of the Canton of Solothurn. And the Entrepreneur Award is like an anniversary present: the company is now exactly twenty years old.
Even after more than 35 years of clinical experience, Thommen Medical continues to research and develop in close collaboration with leading international dentists, dental technicians and renowned academic institutions with the goal of ensuring that every patient has access to the best tooth replacement solution available.
In his laudatory speech, Edgar Fluri referred to the company’s eventful history and he noted how the company has been boldly active on the global market and has demonstrated a strong faith in the future. He further pointed out that the award winner makes it possible for «many people to be able to enjoy things so natural as carefree laughter, talking and eating, and is thus contributing to their quality of life - thanks to having a complete and beautiful set of teeth.»
